Question about Rand Mcnally IntelliRoute TND 720 GPS receiver
Can this be fixed
My tnd 720 after updated the maps comes up with system file error and wont do diagnostic or repair
Posted on Apr 19, 2015
Trevor - We are not clear when you say "won't do a Diagnostics and repair." Does the device not connect to the computer? Does the dock not launch? Does the D&R option not display? We need more specific details to provide an answer. We suggest calling the support desk on Monday morning so an agent can assist you.

SOURCE: trying to install the rand
1. Make sure the TND 500 is turned on.
2. Connect the USB cable provided in the box to connect to your computer.
3. Go to your start menu, click on computer.
4. You should see two external drives if if is a T5B and one external drive if it is a T5C.
The external drives will not show up on the desktop. It is an external device just like an external hard drive. If you cannot see the external device, can you see other devices connected to the same USB port? If not, then it suggests the USB port is bad.
You can most certainly E-Mail me at [email protected] for futher technical support.
Thanks,
Mark

The download did not go correctly. You have a unit that is
missing or has incomplete files. Contact Rand Support and they will send you an
update card. It will not delete your user data and it will upgrade you to the
current version and with new maps. Be sure to have the serial number off the
back of the TND (bottom right) handy. Thanks Mark, Rand Lead Beta Tester
