Hey ppl my friend's yahoo account is hacked... i want to cancel the account..but the problem is i cannot sign in becoz the hacker has changed the secret question and other details of her account... tht person is misusing her account...can i knw hw can i delete my email account without signing in..!!!!!!!!! please helppp... its urgent
Sign in to your yahoo account> member center/Mail Options> Account>add/edit account..cancel account

I have open several other windows (or just one) and after getting into yahoo (homepage/mail) it stops all other windows and they are gray/blank and all must be closed. can't find ANY solution on yahoo.

In this case you will be able to recover or reactivate your account,
search for that in yahoomail. This can be done only if you have a valid password.
But all mails will be lost.
You will right away have a new inbox with 0 mails in it.

you has this **** policy of deactivating any user id that is not active for a speculated period of time. I guess its to free the memory in its server or something. You can reactivate your mail id once you login. You would have lost all your mails though...
