Samsung s730 nothing comes up when turned on

I was getting a white screen every time I put the power on and used the suggestion by Fionn - squeezing the camera around the screen and it worked like a charm.
Please try it also

Put fresh batteries in and temporarily remove the disk. Make sure the camera powers up. When it does, go to the battery screen and select the correct battery type. Turn off the camera and reinsert the disk, then reformat the disk from the appropriate menu screen.

Aftermarket memory sticks usually defective. Buy original Sony memory stick to avoid data loss.

i have a samsung s730 and when that happens to me i put new batteries in it and it works

some camera require batteries that are made for digital cameras. I have a samsung s730 and i use energizer rechargeables and havent had the problem since.

hit it with a hammer and never buy another samsung product again.
My camera did the same thing after 9 months of use , it just quit .
