My xp7240 has also started leaking water from beneath the machine
It still makes steam and hot water through the right hand outlet but when it goes through the coffee making routine all seems well ,but no coffee comes out of the double tubes but leaks out underneath. Have sent an email to Krups but they are unhelpful as it's out of guarantee.

Sounds like the steam wand is getting blocked some where either at the metal end or in the parnello wand if you machine has one at the end of the steam wand, if both of those are clean then try this push in on the steam knob if that works then tap rod assemble or steam valve needs to be replaced, make sure to ask about the stainless steel valve instead of the plastic one.
This means the water cannot flow through the machine. Normal fix is to
prime the machine (turn water dispenser on, fill a cup) or descale the
machine. Go through the menu, select descale, enter, then turn the steam knob fully anti-clockwise. You should put the descaling solution in the water tank first.
If you have the auto-descale in the menu then run it. Run the solution through the machine twice. Then rinse well.
The wand can leak if the rocker switch is not in the UP position.
In MIDDLE position it will try to deliver hot water.
In DOWN position it will try to deliver steam.
The thermoblock in this unit is actually a 3-way valve, of which two positions route water from the boiler directly to the wand. The 3rd position (UP) routes hot water (but not steam) from the boiler to the group head.
Try holding the switch in the UP position by hand when making coffee. If the machine still pushes water through the wand then you will have to replace the switch inside the machine that is activated by the rocker, or the valve it operates.
Probably the steam outlet tube from the boiler is blocked with the calcium bits which doesn't dissolved completely. Put descaling solution in water tank and do hot water and steam alternatively.(hot descaling).Make sure you put a jug of water to catch the steam( gas) in the steam wand After doing for about 5 mins, do the normal descaling and rinsing. Hope it helps. If not.......you may have to open the machine and removed the blockage physically.
My XP7240 has the same problem. I went through all cleaning cycles and the filter in the boiler still gets clogged up with coffee oils. This causes back pressure and blows the boiler seal out. Easy replacement if you can turn a screw driver. Part number for Seal: MS-5015004. You might as well change the Jack too. (the part that slides into the boiler that compresses the ground coffee. (this is a redesigned double seal unit) Part Number MS-0697072. Both these parts you can get at http://www.krups.com/Tools/Contact/Contact.htm choose your country and email the parts list. Mine cost in Australia $27.00 including shipping. Good luck.
The top right hand side can get hot if you have the cup warmer switched on. I am finding that the steam boilers are starting to block up and the steam lines are getting scaled up. If you have access to compressed air, undo the boiler and lines and blow them out. I have had coffee jammed in the inlet of the flow meter, blowing through it will be a good test. Good luck
That's leaking from the hoses coming out from the boiler,if the machine is new it should be still under warranty, may have to take it back to the service center. When making coffee the lines are under pressure and the water never have a chance to pass through the ground coffee.
