Mp460 problem well i hav a canon mp460 all it dose is nothing i turn it on and it makes normal sound when it starts but then it says error code 5010 ....after that nothing works so pliz if u can help me figure out how to fix this really appreciate it

Thanks for using FixYa. To reset the Printer turn it off and remove the power plug from the outlet. About fifteen minutes later, plug it in again and turn the printer on. If still the issue the printer is facing with persists, then you need to follow these steps as the 5010 error relates to the drivers and you need to download the latest drivers compatible with operating system and model of printer.

Uninstall any previous drivers for the printer and to install the printer, unplug the printer completely, restart your computer. Install the drivers using the file you downloaded from canon, do not attach the printer to the computer, or power on until you are told to do so. Hello, The error 5010 refers to a scanner issue, make sure all the connectors are seated and all flat cables running to the scanner unit are firmly seated, turn printer back on and the error should clear. I hope this helps.
