After replacing the bulb on epson powerlite home cinema 8100. the picture is coming very dark. i try to increase the brightness or contrast, doesn't help. what could be the problem?
SOURCE: epson powerlite 7700p video problems
could be, colour change is typical of a pj lamp expiring.
check first the connection lead between pc and pj
to make sure pj is seeing all signal pins on sub d lead.
check pj with video sig input, if thisis ok it's not the lamp failing

Two possible solutions:
1) The video mode is set to Component/RGB instead of VGA.
2) The cable you have may have a break inside of it.
Let me know if you find anything.

SOURCE: epson powerlite s4 projector is pink
I assume this is an LCD. I don't remember the s4 being a DLP projector.
This sounds like the LCD panel used for the red color has gone out. The image is made up of red, green and blue images layered upon the screen. If the red panel has gone out then there is nothing filtering out the red light in the image. This causes a nice red hue to the whole screen.
It could be a simple open and reconnect fix. I personally have never opened a projector, so I'm not going to walk you through it as I do not know how hard it would be to tinker with. It should eb a cheap fix for a true repair man though.
