Re: alternator wiring diagram on farmall M tractor
From scratch... well are you using the factory style of alternator or something different as you didn't mention the age and it could be: 12 volt positive or negative ground, or, 6 volt positive or negative ground. Or do you have a starter/generator or ??? Further research suggest you have a generator which would mean you have a voltage regulator somewhere... SO please help us help you. We need to identify your system before we can help... Pictures would be great. Numbers would be good, type of battery would help...

Personally owning this car and installing several Hyundai stereo's, I would purchase a wiring harness kit from car audio shop or electronics retailer. The wire harness has a plug that connects to the cars wiring harness. This wiring harness kit will also list the wires to connect your new aftermarket radio to the harness. I would also recommend using crimped **** connectors to attach the two harnesses together.
Easier to just use this: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120701782/Receiver-Wire-Harness.html?tp=2977 And then use included plug wiring diagram and receiver's wiring diagram in manual to hook 'em up. (I used crimp connectors)
You will need to go buy a wiring harness adapter from your local Walmart (usually cheapest there) or Local Electronics place (ie Best Buy). The wire harness that goes out from the radio goes into the Adapter and the adapter plugs into the car harnesses. Also these Adapters come with the wiring diagrams for your vehicle. They typically run 10 - 15 bucks depending on where you get them. Thanks for using FixYa!
