Why dos tv still blinking red with no power

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. The power light keeps flashing and the tv won't turn on. If you unplug for a minute and hit the power button it sound like it is coming on then it shuts off and the red power light flashes slowly. The TV is a Panisonic 1080i HDTV, about 6-7 years old.

If you see standby red light blinking on Tv front with 3 seconds interval then count its blinks from pause to pause and let me know, its an error code.
And if TV does not even show standby light then check fuse in power supply that would be blew off for some reason, replace it.

Hi,
Symptom shows Lamp is weak in result and causing restart of TV again and again. Your TV requires new lamp as per following part number...
A1085447A* LAMP BLOCK ASSY XL-2200U
It is available in Sony Accessories Store for $200 and replacement procedure is written in instruction manual of TV.

Always buy Sony original lamp for TV and avoid aftermarket / cheap lamp for TV safety.

My TV did the same thing today. My red light blinks 6 times. Any help would be much appreciated!
