The pages come out with faded, spaced lines. I have cleaned the print head on all 3 cleaning modes and the lines still appear.

Your scanner lamp is dirty. Take apart the scanner glass and clean the lamp. (Look for contaminated spots on the scanner lamp).

How to improve print quality
Cleaning the print head
To ensure good print quality, the MFC will regularly clean the print
head. You can start the cleaning process manually if needed.
Clean the print head and ink cartridges if you get a horizontal line in
the text or graphics on your printed pages. You can clean Black only
or three colors at a time (Cyan/Yellow/Magenta), or all four colors at
once.
Cleaning the print head consumes ink. Cleaning too often uses ink
unnecessarily.
Caution
Do NOT touch the print head. Touching the print head may cause
permanent damage and may void the print head’s warranty.
1 Press Ink.
2 Press or to select Cleaning.
Press Menu/Set.
3 Press or to select Black, Color or All.
Press Menu/Set.
The MFC will clean the print head. When cleaning is finished,
the MFC will go back to standby mode automatically.
If you clean the print head at least five times and the print has
not improved, call Brother Customer Service (see Brother
numbers on page i).

Printed pages come out with dark lines under each line of print

Find your printer's "Maintenance" menu, in its "Toolbox" or from the Start Menu.

Preform a cartridge or head cleaning, that should solve your issue. If not, try replacing the cartridges with new ones.

Hope I helped,

White lines through the page

there are two reasons for this problem you r facing.
1)the cartridges are getting over so replace it the printer will print perfect.
2)the printhead in which the carteidges are fitted is blocked internally and is not able to supply the appropriate ink for printing which requires to print.
for this you have to remove the printhead from the printer which is very easy you just have to lift the lock on the head and it can be removed.after removing clean the base of the head with tissue and isoprophyll and then reinsert the head again.it should print again after 2-3 cleanings and deep cleanings.

Poor quality photos

Usually indicates poor toner. Have you had your toner replaced recently. Refilled toners are notorious for this.
I have had this problem before....replaced toners with a good supplier or manufacturer. Problem solved.
