Question about Audio Players & Recorders
Onkyo npt-1113p output voltage details
Posted by Anonymous on
First of all, did you test the primary and secondary leads for resistance? They all should be from 2-30 ohms max. If they are, the transformer is fine. If they are open, you will need a service manual which may be on-line. If you need more assistance or would like to inquire about repairing your unit, please visit my website at audoserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

Is power coming out of transformer at the right voltage. Also may have a power i.c. shorting to ground.Final anp i.c. may have a place to go to ground through a shorted capacitor.

I would contact Sherwood as Transformers are deemed to be safety components and should be replaced with excat parts or those recommended by the maker.
