SOURCE: Craftsman lawn tractor model new battery drains quickly...

it could be the stator in the engine check the voltage with the volt meter when its running if its low check connections on battery & voltage if its below 12.5 volts then its the stator but the only thing is the engine should run with-out the battery so there is something else going on there is a fuse in the electrical system if theres a short that fuse will blow & engine will stall

SOURCE: what would cause white smoke from the front of my

It could be your valves. My friends mower was blowing a lot of smoke and I think some oil. I replaced the valves and it runs like a dream.
I can't remember the steps to remove and replace, sorry.
If you are mechanically inclined it shouldn't be that hard. The only problem I has was the new valves (keeper or whatever holds them in place) was different than the old one.
You could call a repair shop and get an estimate.
Good luck. Let me know if this any help.

SOURCE: How do I chamnge the oil in my Craftsman lawn

There should be a pipe OR quick release valve coming out the right side at the bottom of the engine where it bolts to the frame. Most of the Craftsman riders I have worked on, had a long pipe with an elbow at the end of it and a plug in the bottom of the elbow for draining. Turn the wheels all the way to the left to allow enough room for a collection pan. It holds less than 2 quarts so the pan doesn't need to be too large

What tire pressure for a craftsman lawn tractor

It should be written on the tire sidewall. If it has worn off, it is also written on the inner side. Use a digital camera to take a photo on the inner side. Depending on the tire size they are around 14 psi front and 10 psi rear. Lower pressures are better for grip and less prone to puncture. Be careful these tire inflate quickly and can burst.

I just purchased a new Craftsman 42in lawn tractor and told the delivery guy that the two front wheels are turned at an inward position. He said he didn't know anything about it. Should I go to the sears...

They should be angled in, but on a new mower to such a small degree that you would not even notice it. I would call the guy who sold it to you and have them come out and align it. The front tires will be "chaffing" sideways if it is not fixed.

Pop the hub cap and remove retainer. You could install a new tube yourself if you didn't want to have the tubless tire repaired.

Craftsman 30'' mower front tire off rim can't put back on

hello...is the tire loose but still on the rim...the sidewalls no longer engage the rim tight to hold air but still aroung the rim loose....If that's the case, get a jack, can of fix a flat, and a small ratcheting hold down strap.....jact the tire off the ground.....wrap the strap around the tire and ratchet it tight to get the beads of the tire to touch the rim....then commect the fix a flat or, if you have ,,,air from compressor to inflate the tire,,,,might have to work it a little to get the tire to reseat on the rim....this should work for you....once the tire is seated on the rim....stop inflating the tire until you remove the strap or you migh have a problem getting it to release from the tire if fully inflated....

Grease fittings

You can drive the front tires up on a set of tire ramps and grease the front and then drive the rear tires up on the ramps and grease the rear.

OR just lay on the floor and reach under using a grease gun with a flexible delivery hose.

If you do use a jack just be sure to jack on the frame of the tractor as opposed to any sheet metal.
