How do I receive a text message sent to my phone?

Hi,

To see your call durations on a Nokia phone.

• Press Menu
• Press Log, which is a green and blue arrow

That will get you into recent calls,,,,,,,,Missed, Received and Dialled calls.
Scroll down to Call Duration which will give you total time for , Last call, Dialled numbers, Received calls, and All calls.

SMS, go to Messaging

• Inbox tells you how many sms received
• scroll down to Sent messages to show how many sms sent.

But that depends on your settings on your phone, go to,

• Messaging
• Options
• Scroll to Settings
• Scroll to Other
• From there you can change Number of saved sent messages you can store.

Hi

If a text message get into your phone, you can retrive it from the inbox.

To got to inbox, go to message on your phone, press select button, scroll down to inbox, press select button and sroll down to the message you want to read.

All messages sent your phone will indicate the time and date which it was sent.

Check in your sent folder and look at the envelope next to the message. Each envelope has a check box at the top right corner.

<>If the person you are sending the message to also has Verizon:
-If it was received by the other person, the box will be checked.
-If it has an arrow next to it, it's still in the process of being sent; possibly because the intended recipient is out of service.
-If you click on the sent message and scroll down to the bottom, it will tell you what time the other person received it at.

<>If the person doesn't have Verizon, all the messages you send (regardless of whether or not they were delivered) will have an arrow in the box and it will not tell you what time the person received the message at.

Sometimes, a message will have an I in the box. I think it stands for Incomplete; this only happens to me when I send a message to more than one person and the message doesn't get delivered for some reason.

Are you sure this isn't specific to the text message and not the phone cause this problem. If the text message you have received has got invalid characters/control codes it might do funny things when you are trying to scroll up/down etc the message. Trying creating a new message with the '.' dots etc and spaces in between and then send it to yourself and see if you have the same problem. Can't see how a phone would stop the scrolling.

when you open the text message, you can scroll down, so you ca view the rest of the message :)

Does it show signal bars on the screen and are you able to make/receive calls? If not then that is why. AT&T does not guarantee in building service. If you do have signal and it is working other than text, then check your message center number in the device:

From the standby screen, press Menu.
Press Messaging.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Text Message.
Enter appropriate Message Center Number, then press Done. The message center number that should be there is +13123149810 (and the + sign does need to be in front of it)

Go into a new text message and hit the "send to" option. Scroll down to the first name above the line and hit the "options" button. Scroll down and select "Recent messages" and choose whoever from that list that you'd like to be your top 3. I actually just sent all three of mine a blank text, but when I went back to the "send to" list voila! MORE INFO: I tried all kinds of things to remove names from my top three recipients list. What ended up working was to send a text to multiple recipients at once. Two was enough. But it was important who I selected first. I sent a message to my wife and my friend. My wife's name got added back to my top three! Then I reversed and sent a message to my friend and to my wife. His name got added back!

When first turned on, select "messages." then down arrow to inbox or outbox. Select choice. For outbox, down arrow to SENT. Select. Hit the center button. scroll down twice to delete the one message. Scroll down once more to delete ALL messages from the sent outbox. Confirm and out they go!

Now, does anybody know how to email text messages so they can be saved?

you go to messages then to create msg then options den scroll down then you will see text size and click then click the left navigator then click apply

Click the ok button and then left scroll to:

"Messaging" screen
Scroll down to "Sent"
"OK"
this will give you all the messages you sent
