SOURCE: check black cartridge message

This happens if you refilled the cartridges, and forgot to take out the air..

Follow this steps..
1. Switch on the printer, open cartridge bay, remove cartridge, dont close the cartridge holder flaps, directly unplug the power supply from the printer end.

2. take a soft cotton, lint free cloth, slightly swab it with pure water, wring the cloth so any excess water is removed, and clean the contact pins inside the printer cartridge holder..

3. clean the cartridge head by keeping it in hot water (about 50C) and then wiping it clean, keep it upright for a few min, and when both printer and cartridge is completly dry put it back in, voila it should not display the message now...

SOURCE: Continue to receive "Remove and check black cartridge" message

Gotta love the internet!

I had the same problem...I seriously considered getting a new printer since I've had my faithful 5510 AIO for like, six years...but what I did was grab some witch hazel and a q-tip. Dipped the q-tip in, wiped down all copper contacts on the carriage and also on the print cartridge...blew on it to air dry...popped it back in and viola! It's back to normal.

SOURCE: how do i make printer accept refilled cartridge t

Maybe you did not refill and insert it very well.

follow this steps in refilling your ink
1. remove the ink cartridge from the printer
2. make a hole at the top end of the cartridge, the hole can be made under the label on the cartridge by using a sharp/hot pin.
3. if you are using a syringe and needle in refilling, make sure you did not insert it into the hole too much so that the cartridge does not get damaged in the process.

4. make sure the ink is not over-filled to avoid spillage which can cause a hell of damage on you printer as it does to my previous one.

5. Gently use the label or a masking tape to cover the hole and insert it into your printer.

Note: The printer gives a message that the cartridge is empty or non compatible, ignore the message and continue with your printing.

It is also advisable that you refill your cartridge not more than 2 times.

My printer epson dx 4400 dont recognise black...

Remove the cartridge and check the contacts after taking it out. Now reset the cartridge back to the holder and remove printer. Now un-install the printer drivers from the PC, then reinstall and connect printer to be detected and installed. If the cartridge is not seen now there are errors in the mother board or the ink cartridge holders.

Don't know how to change the ink cartlige

Hi

thank you for your query

Make sure the printer is on but not printing. Raise the printer cover, then press down the Maintenance button for six seconds until the print heads move to the center. Pull up the empty ink cartridge clamp all the way. The cartridge rises up from its holder and should be disposed. Unwrap the ink cartridges and remove ONLY the yellow tape seal from the black and color ink cartridge. If you accidently remove anything but the yellow seal you cannot use the cartridge or it will damage the printer. To install the new cartridge, tilt the ink cartridge forward slightly as you lower it into its holder. Hang the tabs at the back of the cartridge on the hooks on the holder clamps. Don't place the cartridge tabs under the hooks on the holder clamp; you may damage the clamp when you close it. Install the ink cartridge and press the Maintenance button to begin charging the ink delivery system. Charging takes about a minute and is complete when the power light stops flashing and the error light goes out

I changed my ink cartlidge on a 6110 office jet printer but it still keeps saying Remove and check cartlidge

Have you checked that you've removed any tags fully. Sometimes if you remove a tag and there is some left that you haven't spotted they will cause problems.

Failing that, you may have a faulty cartridge. Do you have another cartridge to try?

After installing re-filled ink cartridges, both color and back & white, the printer message that shows ink level still shows low level ink? How do we resolve?

Hello,

Try this procedure:
1. Open printer lid so cartridges move to center of carriage.
2. Lift clamp and remove black or color cartridge from the holder.
3. Place cartridge on table with copper contact strip facing you.
4. Carefully place a strip of clear plastic tape over the four contacts on the upper left corner of the cartridge.
5. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position.
6. Open lid and remove cartridge again. Remove tape from left side and place tape over four contacts at upper right corner of cartridge.
7. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position again.
8. Open lid again, remove cartridge, remove tape.
9. Reinstall cartridge and close lid.
Printer will now recalibrate. Once the process is complete the ink level meter should be reading full again.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Photosmart C5280. Instructions on photo cartridge 348 say remove both black and colour cartridges, then install photo cartridge in right hand cartridge holder. Printer screen then tells me to install...

Your printer uses the following cartridges:

HP 74 - Black ink
HP 75 - Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow ink
HP 99 - Photo Black, Light Cyan, and Light Magenta

You need Photo Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan, and Light Magenta to print photos. To accomplish this you install the HP 99 photo cartridge where your HP 74 black cartridge usually goes and you keep the HP 75 color cartridge where it's at. I don't know why your printer told you to remove both cartridges, then reinstall the HP 75 color cartridge.

No coloured ink showing

Try to remove and reinstall Ink Cartridges while printer is ON. Be sure the it is lock in place on the cartridge holder. If same issue, power off the printer and unplug and replug the power adapter. Check if the error has gone.

What should I do when it says check printer cartlidge

Take the cartridge out and inspect it for damage, leaks, & low volume. Make sure you have the correct cartridge in the right slot. If there is no obvious problem , install the cartridge again and try to print. If the error message continues you may need to get a new cartridge.

New ink cartridge istallation: Brother MFC-240

I guess you d used generic ink carts?!
If yes, the cart holder needs replacement due to ink that has stained the led control. The ink has made a short circuit. The error can only be deleted by replacing the whole cart holder!
