Whenever i put in the address from which i am leaving to go to a destination it wont do anything and also in the car it wont show me the road that i am on

When the GPS device starts up ( when you power it on ), it will take several seconds, up to a couple of minutes to locate the satellites, before it will show where you are (on the road / map). So, you simply have to enter the destination address, to get directions from where you are, to the destination.
It is easier for the GPS device to locate the satellites if the GPS / you are not under (some) cover, e.g. indoor garage, under ground parking, under trees, etc. Some times you'll just have to wait a little longer. [But you can enter the destination addresses even before it locates your position ]

208 Road King would not start after changing oil filter.... Does it need oil pressure established in order to allow it to spark or start?

yes if it does not have oil pressure it won't start it is a safety device but should prime right away. try removing the filter and see if the gasket surface is dirty, if it is clean it if the gasket is bad buy a new filter. Fill the filter before installing then try it again.

My garmin 205 seems to have lost its fix. Its position is out by about 100m, tracking established roads but to one side or other then loses roads altogether then gets totally lost. Is a map update...

Whenever these devices start acting up, I recommend performing a hard reset of your Gamin Nuvi 205. Also, use Garmin's WebUpdater service to make sure you have the latest software on your device. There have been numerous fixes to the firmware to allow the Garmin 205 or acquire satellite signal faster, and to be more accurate with your location.

I hope that helps.

Presario desktop wont pwer up

I have a Presario desktop as well and if it won't power on than you need to check your connections and make sure everything is plugged in where it needs to be and that the connection has been established.- Meaning that all the connections are snug and tight - where they need to be. If that still doesn't work than something isn't installed correctly and you need to reset everything back to the manufactures settings and start from the beginning - These are your "F" keys from startup it will show you and prompt you/guide you to where you need to go to establish this. Vista is setup to guide individuals that are not computer savoy to fix their problems you just have to apply yourself and follow the instructions given to you, play with your system it will tell you.

External keyboard hookup issue

Yes, you can establish your serial port in BIOS With the use of USB ports on computers the serial and com ports are not set up many times. Upon start up and before the windows login screen will see which key to hit to get into BIOS. It is usually an F# key. Once inside BIOS look for ports and toggle until the serial port is showing up. That will establish your serial port.

Don't forget to rate this solution before logging off.
