Hello, If you plug in the subwoofer do you have power ? If the answer is no, you can check the power supply. If you have power but no sound, then check audio amplifier (probably defective audio IC).
sounds like a short. did you check the amp fuse and the fuse on the power wire (under the hood) make sure there are no wires touching. most common is the wires to the sub touching on the amp. let me knwo if that helped
is protection light coming on when sub is connected? some radios have weak remote that blow out easy..check power on it if power is making it to amp..if its an ANL fuse they can look good but be bad.
I have 2 12" kenwood speakers on a 1000 watt amp ... the other day they cut off but the speakers arent blown, i replaced every fuse in the amp and the amp still cuts on when i turn the car on, yet the amp seems to not be pushing the speakers ...i also looked at the main fuse under the hood of my car but i cant tell whether its blown or not, why is my amp not pushing out any power?
