Excel not importing dates as given by accounting package
My computer regional settings for dates is dd/m/yy.
MYOB accounting is set the same.
When exporting a report to my new computer which has Office Basic Edition version 2003 it changes those dates with a day of less than 12 i.e. 01/9/07 to 09/01/07.
When exporting the same file to my other computer which has Office XP Small Business version 2002 the import is correct.
My email address is [email protected]
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Excel not importing dates as given by accounting...
This implies that basically the versions are causing the problem and there are compatibility issues with your program. I would suggest that you should copy the report files to a detachable media and transfer it to your new system because this is a one time process.
You can also install the same version on both PCs. You can also do following for tracking changes in documents:
In Word 2002 and 2003: Tools > Track Changes.
In Word 2000 and earlier versions: Tools > Track
Changes > Highlight Changes. Tick Track Changes

Not exporting from excell to myob but to import data of excell from myob)
You might need to save your excell data as an older office 2000 or office 97 version or even comma or tab sepperated file so myob could read it, it depends on your myob version and if it possible.

I am a Leap Accounting Certified Consultant - based in Sydney.
In brief the answer is no it cannot be changed by you, however it can be changed by Leap themselves.
The long version is that when Leap Accounting was installed on your PC, it was setup on a cash accounting basis, ie, it will only send transactions to MYOB whenever a cash transaction is recorded in Leap.
There is a Leap Accounting Office report called "Cash to Accrual Conversion report" that you might find useful. Alternatively, contact Leap office to get them to change your setup.
