Hi bonnie. I have been installing appliances for 40 years. Shame on the technician and the dealer who advised you to put money into a 16 year old appliance. This is what I recommend. Tell that dealer that you never should have allowed them to repair a 16 year old machine. Tell them you want your money back. Then watch for a great sale, Sears for instance has a great sale right now. Get your best price and then go back to your old dealer and see if they will match it or beat it.
