easiest way is to download the HP MFP configuration wizard and run that. It will setup a shared folder on your computer and then add a scan to network folder icon for your computer on the MFP. You will need the user name and password that is used to log into Windows to set this up.

You need to go into the embedded web server of the printer (type the IP address of the printer into the address bar of your browser. When it opens, select the digital sending tab, then the save to folder tab on the left hand side. You should then see an option at the top part of the page with a check box that says "allow scan to folder wizard". Click the box and then click apply at the bottom of the page. If you do not click apply it will not save your changes. Then run the wizard on your computer again.
