I had exactly the same problem with a Acer Travelmate last year, from the day I bought it. Eventually I found some kind of fix (maybe it was a BIOS update) from Acer and it has worked perfectly ever since. Sorry I can't remember exactly what, but you may want to go to Acer support web site and just update all your drivers.

I have two co-workers suffering sith the same problem on Acer notebooks and we are trying to hunt down the fix. If you Google Acer keyboard lag, you will find many reports of similar problems.

Sounds like you use this quite a bit, don't you? I'd suggest that you may have actually worn out the keyboard. These things are built basically of plastic and heavy usage will cause wear and binding.
Hop this helps.

Using Acer keyboard and Acer Veriton desktop. Keyboard misses out letters I type and doesn't seem able to keep up with me when I am typing. Hence, trying to do a typing test will result in a decent speed...

Try connecting the keyboard to a different laptop.
If the "lag" and the "missing" letters still occur,
the keyboard is the problem.

If not, try a different keyboard with your computer, to see if this "other" keyboard has the same problem. If so, then your computer, not your keyboard, is the problem.

Laptop keyboard not working

Usually in my experience most laptop keyboards are disposable. I have 2 suggestions for you.
1. buy a new same brand keyboard.
2. remove the flex connector, then use an external usb keyboard, or a bluetooth wireless keyboard.

hope it helps your problem.

Full system restore of Acer TravelMate 2310

If you have th eOperating system disk, you can re-install from scratch - but that will lose your documents - so you should back them up to DVD.

Then install all the drivers you need from the Acer site found here,

If this helped you then please help me and vote kindly, thank you.

Acer travelmate 2420

Hi,

1, check regional languages are set correct in the control panel, put yours to the top and save it.

2, update the Operating system

3, Run a full virus scan on it.

Should be good, if hardware ok.

Keyboard stuck in upper case

Is the caps lock light illuminated? If so, you might have to hold shift and hit caps lock to turn off the caps lock. This is an option for old typists who came from manual typewriters that you might have turned on by mistake.

Some keys of Acer Travelmate C 310 is not working

Replace the keyboard easily available for cheap. Get full manual at Acer website but replacement is easy, be careful of the clips holding the connection to the motherboard, don't remove just slide upward to release..
