Just bought car with the above cd player, & although the radio was playing when I bought it, I can't get the radio back on, tried pressing all the buttons. Would be grateful for the advice

Reset the radio by pressing a sharp object (pin, pen, etc.) into the small reset hole on or behind the face. If it doesn't have one, disconnect the negative cable from the battery for two minutes and reconnect. If you still have this problem, the radio is bad.
are you using any separate amp?- if you are the blue wire on the back of the radio is probably turning off when you use a cd(the blue wire is for a power antenna, the blue with a white stripe is for an amp)
Should wire HU's Power Const to Amp's Remote On. Instead you wired HU's Power Antenna to Amp's Remote On. So the stock amp got
triggered only in radio mode.
I have the same problem with my sometimes. Sometimes it is working fine and when I turn the car back on, it won't go at all. On the back of the head unit, there is a reset button. Press the reset button then press the power button and it should work.
