This may have more to do with your Facebook account than with your MacBook itself. Try signing into Facebook from another computer using your user name and password. If your account is OK, change your password. Go back to your macBook and log in with your news password. I have the problem with my Ipad sometimes. Often Facebook will send you a message apologizing for problems logging in. Try logging in from that message.

SOURCE: macbook air internal mic not working

This is a known issue with some of the Macbook Airs - you should bring the machine to an Apple store, or open a case at apple.com
They may be able to repair/replace at no cost, depending on how old the machine is.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

SOURCE: MacBook locked up, won?t close down

The first thing to try is this: It is a keyboard shortcut to shut down a mac laptop. Press the control key (ctrl) at the bottom and press the eject button at the same time (top button all the way to the right which looks like an arrow pointing up with a line under it). This should bring up a window asking if you want to restart, sleep, cancel or shut down. Click Yes to shutdown! If this does not work, here is the second option. Press the power button down on the upper right side, and just hold it down until the computor turns off. I have done this many times with my own computor when it has crashed with no ill effects, I have heard from Apple that it is not good for your computor and can cause problems, so I would only do this if the keyboard short cut does not work Good luck and if you find this helpful please comment!.

3 x beeps means there is a problem with the memory, either it needs reseating, replacing or a problem with the slots on the logic board.

SOURCE: MacBook Air 11" won't power

1. Verify AC power presence with MagSafe LED indicating on or charge state.
2. Verify battery as being partly charged, with orange/amber LED on MagSafe power connector.
3. Reset SMC
Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) The System Management Controller (SMC) is a chip on the logic board that controls all power functions. If the computer is experiencing any power issue, such as not starting up, not displaying video, sleep issues, or fan noise issues, resetting SMC may resolve it. To reset SMC: 1. If computer is on, turn it off by choosing Shut Down from the Apple menu. 2. Connect power adapter to computer and to a working power source. 3. On built-in keyboard, press (left-side) Shift-Control-Option along with power button just once. Important: Use Shift-Control-Option keys on left side of keyboard. Note: When the LED on the MagSafe connector is orange/amber, resetting the SMC will change it to green for a few seconds, indicating that SMC was correctly reset. 4. Wait 5 seconds and press power button to start computer. Note: If bottom case is removed, you can alternately reset SMC by disconnecting both power adapter and main battery, and holding down power button for 5 seconds.

Power Adapter Issues 1. Connect AC adapter's MagSafe connector to the computer. The LED on the connector should be green or orange/amber. 2. Verify power cord or duckhead is firmly attached to AC adapter. Check that duckhead is not damaged. 3. Verify AC power source is supplying AC power. 4. Check for dirty or stuck pins on the MagSafe connectors, both on the adapter and the computer. 5. Reset SMC by pressing the (left) Shift-ControlOption(Alt) keys along with the power button once.

Apple has started using one part number for this particular MacBook Air's screen. It's 661-5732. Keep in mind, this part is for the entire screen assembly of your MacBook Air. It'll include the camera, cables and hinges.

Hope this helps!

My son has a new Macbook Air and he can't log on to Facebook - it is a white screen - he can log on on a PC.

You are referring to two different computers. In either case it appears to be an operating system problem. You need at least OS 10.7.X Not OS 10.6.8.

How do i bypass macbook air master password without a disk

Maybe the owner's manual might make reference to some sort of reset option. If the password is a simple 4 digit code, then guess it. Most peoples' passwords have something to do with the person who set the password, I.e. a nickname, name of a family pet, anniversary date, etc.

DEAR SIR, I FORGET MY ADMINISTRATOR PASSWARD WITH MACBOOK AIR AND I HAVE NOT CD ALSO PLEASE TELL HOW I CAN BREAK MY ADMINISTRATOR PASSWARD THANKS

You cannot break apple's security as simply as windows. It would mean getting a unix boot cd, and logging in as root (if the apple lets you) and trying to unlock the OSX account... not easy.
Just go get a snow leopard DVD from apple for £29 ($49) and enjoy a decent OS...

Mac book air cannot start

When troubleshooting a Macbook Air, there is a checklist from Apple Support you need to try.
You are welcome to do so after first trying these steps first.

• Check the Magsafe power adapter, to make sure it is free of debris and is seated properly.

• If with decent charge, try to start the Macbook Air, with only the battery.

If you get power from either one of these issue resolved- otherwise follow the steps provide more in detail from Apple listed in the link below.

Such power issues with Macbook Airs as well as Macbook 13" and Macbook Pro 13" are about the same and there are no workarounds, so make sure to follow those procedures completely for a full assessment of your Macbook Air's functionality.

Hope this helps!
