I honestly can't pinpoint the problem. I would say the power supply. That is an easy fix.. and the cost is not as bad as u might think. The hardest and most time consuming is taking the whole back of the TV. there are lots of small screws. I would make sure the TV is unplugged first. Take pictures as u go along . once the back is off take pictures of the whole thing. and take several of the power supply board. that way u won't get confused on which cable goes where. Good idea to buy one of the Grounding Straps (only about $5.00) . if it is not the power supply board, there is a T-Con board. same procedure as the power supply. maybe someone else on here can pinpoint ur trouble better.
