What is it doing or not doing, when u turn on the switch, either the switch or motor is probably bad or you have too much tension on the belt.

SOURCE: I have a Canadian tire model 55-3550-2 belt/disc

I went to a bearing/powertransmission supplier. The number on the belt was all they needed. Picked up a new belt for $6.50.

SOURCE: My delta sander stalls while sanding on the belt.

Mine was underpowered from the get go. I have since sold it. Keeping it well lubricated does help though.

SOURCE: Delta disc and 1" belt worled yesterday, not

the motor has lost its polarity it uses magnetic electric polarity to turn around. the fault is just as bad as a burned out motor you could have the motor rewound but it would cost more than the entire unit..

sorry
take care.

SOURCE: I'd like to download a manual for the Delta 1"

you might try going to dewaltservicenet.com and typing in your model number in the middle of the page towards the bottom under need a manual. If not let me know and I will try and locate another source for you.

Delta should be ashamed of themselves for putting out a product as bad as this one, belt has no power and disc part is pure junk, they should be rated in the minus. If you find out best best/disc sanders in 2018 go to the link Practical WEN 6502 Sander Review For Improved Sanding Skills

Delta disc and 1" belt worled yesterday, not today. I turn the switch on and the disc "twitches" and the motor hums. I can turn the disc by hand so it's not jammed. Belts are good. Any ideas???

31-735 delta belt/disc sander - dust collection nightmare

The belt cover that does down the front of the belt, below the table, should have an opening inside the baes/vacuum unit. Make sure this isn't clogged with buildup.
