Why does juicer not start when assembled and plugged in?
We had our new Omega juicer put together and when we plugged it in, it would not work. All the parts were properly placed as instructed. Has there been a problem with these juicers? Regarding Omega Juicer BMJ330 Big Mouth Juicer.

Believe it can be done. You might have to file or shave the new arm a little then seat it as best as possible and tap it in place with a screw driver and hammer. If you do manage to attach the new arm and the fit is a little too snug when you latch down the cover, file the upper tip of the arm for a little more tolerance. Also, believe it or not, a worn blade will produce less vibration. There is a set screw bottom center. With the juicer fully assembled, unlock it, turn it clockwise until feed chute contacts the shredder blade and back it off a half turn. You now have the proper gap between the chute and blade.
It's a real pain and even bigger pain to snap the new one in place. Best way to do it is remove the 4 screws, not the center one, and separate the base. You will then have access to the latch arm from within, but remember how everything goes back together again.
First, check that the switch is in the on position. Then, check that all parts are assembled properly. The unit has a built-in safety device that will not let the motor turn on if not assembled properly. The Power Juicer also has a built-in Thermal Cut Off Safety Switch. If the machine was running, then shut down due to accidental overheating, then there is a 10 minute cooling time before the machine will restart. This helps to protect the motor from seizing. flip it over and hit the reset button, if there is one. If not, then make sure that it is put together properly, mine will do the same thing if the pulp collector is on wrong. or if you overheat it, then let it set and try to reset it.... hope that helps.
I WOULD CALL OMEGA AT 717 561 1105. I REPLACED ONE ON AN OMEGA 1000 BY REMOVING BOTTOM OF JUICER TO VIEW LATCH ARM WHERE IT ATTACHES FROM INSIDE THE HOUSING. YOU CAN FIGURE IT OUT. IT HAS TO BE PRIED A LITTLE AND SLIPPED UP AND OUT.
