2005 Chrysler Town and Country Coolant Leak After running Air Conditioning?

Seems to be leaking by the front engine compartment. Only after running the Air or Heat? Why is this happening? It does not leak when you do not run the air or heat and only leaks for a short period of time after stopping.

You do not say if you are losing coolant or not , if not every thing is ok as its condensation from the air con, If it has coolant loss it could be over heating, make sure the extra fan comes on with the air con.

Check the color of the water coming from the engine. Is it clear or is it a different color. It the water has no color then it is just the normal condensation that the AC unit is removing from the air. If the leaking water is yellow or green, then it is actual coolant from the engine.

SOURCE: oil leak looks like its coming from the power steering pulley. Haven't started the car in 6 months and it sprung a leak.

seals can swell or shrink from lack of use even stick
what probably happened is from siting it stuck to the shaft and by starting it caused it to tear

SOURCE: Audi coolant

check the overflow tank and take the radiator cap off (when it's cooled down). if there is radiator fluid in either or both of them, you could have a stuck thermostat or a bad water pump. check the thermostat first.

2005 Town and Country Minivan Leaking Antifreeze?

Most likely the water pump bearing seal is gone. Will not leak much at all when engine is running since the fluid is moving through the system, but when sitting overnight a definite puddle etc., can be found under the car on in the crankshaft/pulley cover area.

The heater in my 2005 chrysler town and country mini van blows heat then turns cold

Make sure your radiator is full of coolant, if it is low the heater core cant get enough hot coolant in it to keep the air warm. If that's not the poroblem it could be a problem with your air exchanger that switches from hot to cold which could be a vaccume line leak. But I bet you're just low on Coolant.

How to replace a thermostat in a 2005 chrysler town & country

First of all drain the antifreeze by disconnecting the coolant hose. On the driver side of the engine, there is a radiator hose that connects to the engine just under the wires for the spark plugs. There are two bolts. Remove the bolts and pull off the hose. Some coolant will leak. Remove the old thermostat and gasket. Note how the thermostat is oriented so you can replace the same way.Now after the new thermostat is placed, follow this procedure:--Remove the radiator cap and start up the engine. You have to wait for it to become hot for the thermostat to open up and circulate the coolant. Add additional coolant to the radiator. After it is circulating, re-fit the radiator cap and see if the temperature gauge is rising as expected. ------ This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Slow leak of water under car no antifreeze in it no water inside car what can this be

It is normal for all cars that have an air conditioner. It is the condensation of the water in the passenger compartment air.

Like a house window air conditioner, the water collects on a pan and drips out a tube.
