My Sony bravia kdf-50e3000 TV will lose picture and the green light will start to flash for about a minute then picture will come back on and then goes out again repeating this over and over. I just replaced the bulb a month ago. What is going on with it?

Display panel fault.

Easy to replace, just open the TV up, unplug and unscrew the old one, pop in the new one!

Sounds like a problem with the optical light engine this model uses--contact Sony in regards to a possible recall issue with this model.

Strange situation, have you tried unplugging it for a few minutes and letting the TV cool. I have a older 2006 Sony SXRD rear projection and it takes forever to turn back on if you shut it off then turn it back on. Check this link and maybe its giving you a blinking code. Try counting the number of blinks. Hope this helps.

Sony KDF-50E3000 is LCD Rear Projection tv that has one lamp as back light source and optical unit (light engine) generates image that projects on front screen of tv, it is similar to multimedia projector technolog.
Lamp part number is F93089000 XL-2500 utilized in this model.

Bad lamp or ballast. Try lamp 1st, especially if it has more than 4000 hours of use on it.

It is symptom of Lamp that getting weaker and requires replacement. Always buy Sony original lamp and avoid aftermarket/ cheap lamp for TV safety.
