You probably have a sensor issues there are two one for the freezer one for the frig. Check your freezer temp it should be at 0 degress at manufactor setting. If the temp is below -10 you freezer sensor is bad. Otherwise your frig sensor is bad. CHECK FREEZER FIRST!!!

Depending on how handy you are, there is something you can try. Unplug the unit, remove user interface/control board and look for a ribbon connector. It will be on the side of the control board and loop around to the user interface. Disconnect the ribbon cable from the control board and use your fingers to tightly rub the ends of it to make sure there is no corrosion or anything on it. Put it all back together and see what happens. If that doesn't fix it, a new user interface is in your future.

Not sure if the compressor is running. If not, you'll need a repair man. Since fans are running, most likely the thermistor. Also, if you haven't unplug from the wall, wait 10 seconds then plug back in; this may reset the control board. The link below may help. GE Refrigerator Not Cold Enough

My GE TFX30PP is constantly running and doesn't turn off. The freezer is very cold but the frig side isn't cold enough. A repair guy put in a new "cold contol" sensor but it didn't help.

This is a very common issue, If the freezer compartment is cold and making ice the
problem is simply airflow from the freezer into the refrigerated section.
Typically when one senses the refrigerator is warm they max out the settings
on both dials the thermostat with its 1-10 settings as well as off for the compressor.
This controls the compressor and temperature.
The additional setting or dial is for colder freezer or refrigerator as well , However
it simply opens or closes a flapper door between the freezer and refrigerator boxes.
When that dial or setting is maxed , it closes and makes the freezer colder, yet leaves the refrigerated section starved for sufficient airflow to maintain a cold box in the refrigerated section.
Just set the dial that does not turn the compressor off to the middle setting.
One can leave the thermostat that does control the compressor in the max setting , just not the colder freezer setting, If you notice colder isnt colder refrigerator, Its actually colder freezer, A common issue found on 25% of all refrigerator calls a simple setting adjustment.
Its easy to think that maxing out the settings makes for a colder refrigerator, it doesnt, it makes a colder freezer and warm rerigeration section.
If a freezer is making ice, theres nothing wrong with the unit other than airflow setting. I would also clesan the condenser coils off.

Motherboards usually react to an outside problem like a defective fan or compressor start components failure. To replace the board without checking for a cause would be a very expensive mistake. You mentioned that this has happened beginning the day you brought the refrigerator home. Is this a warranty issue? I can help you find the problem but until the problem is fixed never replace the motherboard. A defective fan motor or defective compressor start components will take out a new mother board before you blink. Even so called service technicians miss this! There is no thermostat ( cold control ) on your model refrigerator . It works off thermistors ( 3 in the refrig section and 2 in the freezer section ) . These thermistors , operate by the coldness which in turn , less resistance to the main control board the colder or warmer it will provide .

Ted, you probably have a bad ignitor. If you have a meter, you can do some checks to rule out the board. Take the back top panel off and on the board you will see four wires..from left to right they should read L1, neutral, broil and bake on the board. Broil and bake will be marked as BR and BA. Set the oven to 350 and press bake, you should have 120V from BA to Nuetral. If so your board is ok. You should also hear a click after pressing bake. 90% of the time it's the ignitor, part number WB13K0004. Be care when testing with live power. Catriver..post back.
