Why is my printer Kyocera Ecosystem P3045dn producing vertical mark on printed sheet?

If your Kyocera Ecosystem P3045dn printer is producing vertical marks on printed sheets, there could be a few potential causes for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:
  1. Check the print cartridge: Inspect the print cartridge for any damage or defects. Ensure that it is installed correctly and securely in the printer. If the cartridge is low on toner or nearing its end of life, replace it with a new one.
  2. Clean the print head: The print head may have accumulated dirt, debris, or dried ink, which can cause vertical marks on the printed sheets. Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to clean the print head properly. Use a lint-free cloth or recommended cleaning materials provided by the printer manufacturer.
  3. Check the drum unit: The drum unit could be dirty or damaged, leading to the production of vertical marks. Remove the drum unit according to the printer's instructions and inspect it for any signs of damage or wear. Clean the drum unit using a soft, lint-free cloth. If the drum is damaged, consider replacing it.
  4. Inspect the paper path: Check the paper path for any obstructions or debris that might be causing the vertical marks. Look for torn or wrinkled paper, as it can leave residues on the print path. Remove any obstructions and ensure the paper is loaded properly in the tray.
  5. Adjust print settings: Ensure that the print settings in your computer or printer driver are correctly configured for the paper type and print quality. Adjust the print density or quality settings to see if it affects the appearance of the vertical marks. You may need to experiment with different settings to achieve the desired result.
  6. Update printer firmware and drivers: Outdated printer firmware or drivers can sometimes cause printing issues. Visit the Kyocera website and download the latest firmware and drivers for your printer model. Install the updates according to the provided instructions.

There's a small black "x" mark on every print on our Xerox C75 digital press.

Hi,
The only thing I can think of is the IBT belt might have a mark on it. If the 'X' mark is in the same place on each print, regardless of size A3 or A4 then the problem is being printed intentionally e.g. within the file, if it's more random then it could be the belt. Is it only in the black, if so recheck the black drum. Is the mark on the edge of the paper it could be the cleaning system problem.
This is one problem that would need to be seen.
Good Luck.

HP P3005 - skid marks along paper's edge

Print 3 pages. Use the manual feed tray. As they print, open the cover, remove the toner and look down at the paper in the printer. Do you see marks along the edge? If no...replace the fuser. If yes...it could be the transfer roller.

Doesn't recognize paper when loaded

When loading the paper, the edge sensors can be a bit tricky.

Pull the paper through the main guide with the locking plate released. Guide the paper edge it's right along the blue (not over it, just along the left edge of the guide markings on the body of the unit). Pull the paper through and then guide it back so that the lead edge just barely shows up, below the small, black rollers in the main print area. Now lock it down and reboot the system.

Once the print head alignment has finished the unit will pull the paper through and then move it forward and back until it is properly aligned, then cut off any excess it detects.

You should now be able to print. Note: Please do not re-adjust the paper edge after this process is complete.

Black roller marks on right side of paper

Sounds like you have a bad fuser assembly if the drum unit didn't solve the probelm.

Black smudge marks along left side edge of paper.

Its probably a defective toner. If the film on the toner drum is scratched it can cause toner to stick to the drum everytime it spins causing the constant marks.
