Does not read cd - just rejects it and loading door re-opens
I never had like that. But "normally" there may be two reasons: CD fault or control board fault. Sometime main control keeps memorized wrong data and (in my Ouverture) CD unit simply is not responding and not loading - standing still. No way to move on except plugging off the power, press CD start on remote with no power, plug in power and try again. It clears bad data. I suspect it happened few times when I stopped CD player by remote or local main switch off.

Sounds like the belt drive that controls the doors is broken. If you're a repair headed person, you can get the repair manual online for $25 or so. Parts may be harder to get, but with the proper imformation, you may be able to do the work yourself. It's both tricky and super easy because the design is generally very very good, but knowing the technical details requires a decent amount of patient brain work and proper tools. DaveA

unplug from mains, close doors by hand, reconnect mains, does the doors open or can you hear something trying to happen,if so the guide rails for doors may need cleaning/lubricating otherwise the cable drive may be detached(a workshop job).

Push the door to the left this normally engages the door to the mech.it is designed to detach if the door is jammed or too stiff to move.Cleaning of the guide rail and door carrier is usually the cure.this can only be done properly be removing the central cd clamper and control panel assy.

Chances are you will need a replacement cd mech assy to fix this problem assuming you have already cleaned the laser lens(cotton bud with ethyl alcohol or isopropanol).dont know of universal remote for b&o but some specialist remote replacement companies do one for beolink1000 which will operate your product.

You have to look up in the manual which way the two arrows on the underside of the unit are pointing when the CD player is located on the far right. The arrows are screw heads which appear in two holes on the underside. If, for instance, you are playing the unit lying flat on a shelf or table top, if you flip it up and forward to get at the arrows, the two arrows should both be pointing left. If you are mounting it on a wall, it's a different arrow combination. I had the problem you describe and this fixed it for me.
