Shontek clock movement from Sam's club not keeping time

Hi - I have a similar problem - I removed the screw and plastic snap on movement cover and gently blew dust and debris from the gears, which then seemed to work fine. the clock still won't keep accurate time (or anything near accurate time - so much for atomic accuracy!)
i plan to buy a new movement from klockit.com for about $20 - i first need to remove this movement and measure the hands, etc. so i order the right parts.

How do get the face of my dash off a 2001 honda accord to remove my stereo

Hello,
To remove the center dash panel to access your radio follow these simple steps -

  1. First there are three Phillips screws that secure this dash panel to the main dash assembly. One of the screws is hidden behind the clock.
  2. The clock unsnaps from the dash panel, but requires a very small flat head screwdriver or similar flat tool. You need to Insert the tool into the side gap between the edge of the clock assembly and the dash panel. Gently pry out that edge of the clock. Insert your fingers into the gap and pull firmly to completely remove the clock from the dash panel.
  3. Now you need to locate and remove that (hidden) Phillips screw.
  4. Now look on the curved underside of the dash panel. Locate and remove those two Phillips screws.
  5. All screws securing the dash have now been removed. The plastic dash panel itself snaps into the main dash assembly. Begin by pulling gently on either the bottom curve of the dash panel or one of the top corners of the dash panel. Continue to pull until all sides of the plastic dash panel have slightly pulled away from the main dash assembly. Now pull the entire plastic dash panel away from the main dash assembly.
  6. Now turn the panel around exposing the wires attached to the back side. Unplug all connectors attached to the air conditioner controls. The radio is secured by four screws, your vehicle will either have four Phillips screws or four 8 mm bolt screws. Remove the screws//bolts and pull the radio out of the dash. Unplug the wire harness connector and the black antenna cable from the rear of the radio.
  7. The center dash is now removed and you now have full access to your radio.

How to remove tail lite cover on 2002 xteara

Open the back gate and you will see a couple of philips head screws. Unscrew them and snap the tail light out gently. There a couple of plastic clips that hold the tail light in place. Be careful not to break them (pull the light straight out not up, down, left, or right) Once the tail light cover is removed, separate it from the backing and reflective insert. To change the bulbs just twist counter clock wise and push in. Snap the new bulbs in and repeat the whole process in reverse.

Replacing timer motor

T-104 has 240Volt clock motor
WH-40 water heater timer has same 240Volt clock motor
T-103 has 120Volt clock motor
T-101 has 120Volt clock motor

T-100 series 120Volt and 240Volt clock motors sell at Grainger for $16
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/timer-accessories/timers/electrical/ecatalog/N-8hi

See large image of clock motor on back of Intermatic timer
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Back-of-T-104-800.jpg

To replace clock motor you need 6-sided star-screwdriver from auto parts store or hardware
You may also need tweezers or magnetic screwdriver if tiny screws fall down behind timer when replacing

Steps:
Order 120 or 240 volt clock motor
Turn off power to timer
Remove plastic cover over screw terminals
Take photo of wiring or make a drawing
Note exactly which terminals the clock wires connect to
Clock motor wires can connect to either terminal, there is not a plus or minus wire to clock
Loosen screws on front of timer to remove white-colored clock motor wires
Push the spring retainer located inside box at top ... this will release timer mechanism from box
Tip timer out and then lift up to release timer
Replace clock motor that is held by 2 screws
Keep clock wires away from other timer parts on back of timer
Snap timer back into box
Re-attach wires to terminals just like they were before
Tighten screws very tight against copper wires
Turn on power
Check that dial is rotating as time passes

Radio controlled clock not working

Pretty simple: Press reset. Clock should reset within 10 minutes.
Manually set by pressing Set and holding for 5 seconds. The hands will turn. Release when they get to the correct time.

Mine quit working after a year and seems to be dead. The movement won't do anything now with a new battery.

Remove door panel on a Ford Van

For a 1999 Ford Econoline 150 (assume the same or very similar), remove triangular plastic cover over mirror assembly by prying straight out, remove plastic door handle cover by prying up from the front side, remove electronic door switches by prying up from back side, remove round plastic cover at bottom rear of door panel. Four screws are now revealed, remove them. Lift door panel straight up, clips are hooks (not snap in). Work door switch assembly out of door panel. Set door panel aside. Reassemble in reverse order.

Need instructions to replace the bezel on a gateway 7330gz

Just like any other laptop LCD screen, edtechservic. Remove the rubber caps that cover the Philips head screws, remove the screws, and work around the bezel to pop it loose, a little at a time.

Top cover up, you are looking at the LCD screen. Look at the top Left and Right corners of the screen bezel. Look in-between. Now look along the bottom of the screen bezel. See those small rubber caps? G-E-N-T-L-Y pry them loose with a 60 or 90 degree pick. (In your computer repair kit)
Use care, and finesse! You don't want to scratch the clients laptop!
Now loosen, and remove the screws underneath.

Use a Jewelers flat tip screwdriver, (No.2), and ease it in the parting line, that you will see between the bezel, and top cover. Don't go more than a 1/4 inch in! You could be up against the LCD screen metal frame, if you go too far in. (Which could break the LCD screen)

Won't ease in there? Move over an inch or so. You could be hitting the plastic part of the bezel, that snaps down into the Top Cover.
There are several of these plastic protrusions, that stick down from the bezel, and snap into place in the Top Cover. Every few inches or so.

After you start easing one of these plastic snaps out, (Plastic protrusion I spoke of above), move along the edge, pick another place, and start easing it up. Keep bringing the edge up a little at a time. (Bring the back of the flat tip jewelers screwdriver down)
When you have gone along, and raised a large portion of the bezel, you should hear a distinct Click, as one of the plastic snaps come out of the Top Cover.
If not, move back to the first plastic snap that started to come out, and place your flat tip Jewelers screwdriver next to it. Bring the back of the screwdriver down to pop that plastic snap up, and out.

Hearing it your first time might make you a little stomach sick. You'll think you broke something! If you go along, and raise the bezel up a little at a time, you'll be okay. The bezel is made of space age plastic, and is VERY tough! You can't get crazy with it though!

When you have gone almost all the way around the bezel, the last few inches may just pop up, and out.
This link shows you with photos, and information, for a Gateway MT6704 Notebook PC,

http://www.insidemylaptop.com/remove-lcd-screen-from-gateway-mt6704-model-ma7/

This guide is to completely replace the LCD screen. You can just use the information under the first five photos, for bezel replacement.
