A notch or little pin on one of the door (trays) that must fitting against a microswitch or a simple brass-blade contact under the hood of the tray or door or sometimes even by a ldr light detecting resistor.
This is a sensor problem, you can try to open the front cover and close it if the problem still okures you need to bring it to samsung technical service as the fuser is inside the printer and it need to be dismantled all to fix it.
This is a common problem with a close-to-empty cart.
A new cartridge will have even toner, and will distribute it evenly to the page.
An older toner will start to streak and line onto the page.
Another issue could be the fuser... some of the new printers have a fuser built into the cart unit... so that when you replace the cartridge it replaces the fuser as well.
A fuser can become dirty and thus not distribute toner evenly across the page.
Pull the flap down that hides the orange roller on the fuser (be careful: it's hot)
Locate the inner flap that runs from the centre to the right hand side.

along the right hand side, there is a tiny little perpendicular appendage on this bar that
should sit in a slot. Locate it properly and the error will go away. You can go that by slightly bending the slot if fits into on the inner flap. The appendage can get jossled out of the slot when one is removing jambed paper.
Hi there,
Hope this helps, We had a similar problem with a brother colour laser.
If you carefully remove the fuser rollers and toner cartridge grab a moist/damp cloth soaked dishwashing soap, not to wet but and carefully wipe down the fuser rolsers and toner rollers.
Remember toner is toxic so be carefull
Be carefull not to nick the rollers, if anything chips it or scratches it it will mark everything else.
And yes envelopes if fed incorrectly can gum up the rollers.
I have also used metho to carefully clean down all the rollers before just dont use too much.
Another handy tip is follow the path that a sheet of paper travels and watch where it gets caught exactly.
IF you do pull it all apart, Just make sure you take it slow and watch where everything goes to put it all back. Also make sure that you discharge the unit before opening it up so there is no high voltage inside.
Also if you find that the toothed clutch is worn chek out ebay for spares for your model.
Cheers
Hope this helps
Steve
it sounds as though your pick up rollers are worn. when the oprinter can not pick the paper from the selected tray (tray 2 in your case) then it shows up as a jam. to sort this you will need:
One of these: RM1-0036-020: PAPER PICK-UP ROLLER ***'Y Two of these: RM1-0037-020: PAPER FEED ROLLER ***'Y
Your Samsung ML-3561ND looks to be an HP Laserjet 4000-series printer. Same engine, different electronic.
The fuser is in the rear of the machine, and may be relating to the drop-down rear panel where you clear paper jams. Open it and give it a good push closed and the printer should cycle and come ready.
Let me know what happens!
If you have annother tonner cartridge, (the old one will do)fix it and see if it works. If not there might be a component faillure related to the Fuser Unit. Also check for any Jam in the Pinions(Sometimes Samsung Laser Displays wrong MSG.)
