What if the speed LEDs on the VR2/VSI begin to flash?

• Determine if the battery charger is connected to the power base. When the battery charger is connected to the power base, a charger inhibit feature keeps the power chair from driving. This is indicated by the VR2/VSI speed
  LED(s) flashing.
• Determine if the charger harness fuse has blown. A blown charger fuse can cause the charger inhibit to
  activate.
• Determine if all controller connections are plugged into the power base properly. If the 3-pin charger
  inhibit connector is not plugged in properly, then the charger inhibit feature will activate.

The Sony diagnostic routine for 4 blinks indicates it to be a vertical deflection problem.

Did you see a solid horizontal line in the center of the screen prior to it going out? If so, that is a tell tale sign for vertical problems.

The STANDBY light will flash if the television detects an issue within the television. Some of these issues can be resolved simply by following the steps below to reset the television.

1. Turn off the television. IMPORTANT: For a projection television that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after turning off the television to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the following steps.
   
2. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
   
5. Turn on the television.

If the issue is still unresolved after following all of the troubleshooting steps, service may be required. Please note the number of times the STANDBY light flashes and relay that information to the service center

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. The green light flashing is an error code. Count the number of flashes and it will tell the issue. Write back once you've counted the flashes. Also, was the TV having any issues before this? Was there a recent storm or power surge?

Try unplugging it for an hour then plug it back in and press power. If its still flashing a blink-code then the tv is in protection mode and needs to be serviced. If the tv powers on normally after unplug/replug then purchase a digital surge-protector to prevent electrical spiking from hitting your tv again.

? I wounder what color is your lamp - red or yellow (amber) and just so you know most parts stores now days can tell what a code is with out charging a dime to you.

I beleive a code 4 is a dead body but your problem sounds like a dead power supply.

Usually after a storm huh....LIGHTENING, bad power surge.....its power supply related.....
