Stuck on clean light always flashing

Hi i always have to reset my dishwasher to get it to work the code comes up 88 1d what does this mean DISHWASER Whirlpool gold

    I dont have a portable that was amistake I have a whirlpool gold quiet partner 3 and the repare man who came did check that already the arm and blade but thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is something jammed in either the arm or blade that is setting off the code.

Hello,

To reset the dishwasher push in this order the,

HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY- HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY - CANCEL/OFF

the control will be reset...but more importantly how many times in a row does the light flash..it will indicate what error code its displaying??

example if it flashes 4 times then a pause then flashes 4 times again its displaying the error code#4
7 flashes then pause then 7 flashes its displaying the error code#7 ect ect

My whirlpool adp 4552 keeps on flashing 7 times...whats the problem?
This is not a solution, but a start. There should be a tech sheet somewhere with the dishwaser. Often it is stuck to the back of the kick plate. In this, or possibly in your owners manual, there should be a list of "error codes" This should explain what the seven flashes mean.

I have a quite partner 2 and it is stuck on the clean cycle and the light is blinking on and off. It will not work when I push any other buttons.
whirlpool dishwashers sense the water temperature in them the clean light flashing 7 times means either the heater element is not working or the water temperature going into the unit is to cold, start the water at the sink before starting the dishwasher now to get rid of the flashing light press the hi temp wash button and then the sani rinse button press one then the other over and over until all the lights come on it will then go in to a test mode when it completes the flashing light will go out that will solve your problem

Changed Electronic control on Kenmore dishwaser
Sounds like wsh motor is not running. Test cycle by pushing in order: hi temp, air dry, hi-temp, air-dry. All lites come on and unit will run. Should hear motor running when 'washing' light is on. If not then motor is bad or something stuck in impeller area. Please leave feedback.

Odd fault codes then stops working.
I had a hotpoint engineer try to fix this type of problem.
He insisted that there was something stuck in the bottom of the filter or pump.

Sure enough there was.
1. Unplug your dishwaser at the wall. Check its off or disconnected.
2. Remove the grill under the bottom rack.
3. Ensure that the filter is free from food and other obstacles and clean the filter.
4. Before replacing filter etc, get a piece of metal coat hanger wire and care fully insert it down the channel under the filter to free any lodged items. You may also see a small white impleller try to turn this with your finger or the coat hanger wire (this is the info from the engineer!).
5. replace filter and retry a wash.

This routine fixed or machine twice and will hopefully fix yours!

The third time about 1 year later this occured again and even hotpoint gave up as they could not fix the machine. (after multiple visits). I think that the two flashing lights are were a red herring and the dishwasher had a separate intermittent fault. Hotpoint replaced the unit for a mimum charge. Callout + 40.

On the base of the dishwasher you have a anti fload switch, this has probably got stuck on or has been jammed when replacing the base of the dishwaser, I would take a look at this first.
