I have a set of motorola fv700 talkabout radios. they wont transmit to each other. i checked the inter. elim. code. they are the same. and i have even turned them off. these are new radios. i know they...

Take the radios back to a very basic setting with all special features turned off. If the radios have a Qt filter check to see it is turned off, and set your Code to zero (off) on both units. Also, check to see your battery is good in both units. Trade the battery with a known good radio to see if the problem moves to the other radio, is a simple test.

Cant use my fv700 i changed the chanell and frequency for bothh but still not working help

One solution that i read was "i had two fv700 do the same thing. i replaced the nimh battery packs in both radios and replaced with triple a batteries and both started working properly"

This has worked for me also - aaa batteries fit right in - it's just a drag that it's not rechargeable anymore - I wonder if 3 rechargeable aaa's would work?

Hope this works!

Can transmit to a FV700 moto, but FV700 cannot hear me. Same Ch 6 and code 1

Not certain what model radio you are using to transmit, it is possible your radio has a Qt filter. If so, set it to zero. If this does not solve the problem, try setting your Code to zero also.

Best regards.

Motorola talkabout sx700

Check your "code" setting. You may be on the same channel, but different codes. The code is the smaller number. Check your owners manual if you have one for resetting the radio to the factory default settings. This will clear any programming issues.

How do I Reset my T5000 2 way radio to factory default

The T5000 Talkabout radio default settings are not the same as the CP100 and CLS. The CLS and the CP100 UHF are capable of being programmed to match one another on several frequencies, however, the TalkAbout T5000 is not capable of any of them.

The Talkabout radios, as a general rule, are limited to FRS and GMRS frequencies. The CP100 and CLS are from the business and light consumer divisions. They will do most of the common 56 UHF business frequencies.

If you would like to look at the frequency charts yourself, here are some links.

Here are the frequencies possible on the T5000 http://www.fixya.com/support/p514922-motorola_talkabout_t5000_2_way_radio/manual-362/page-17
