Ok, I know this is old but to help anyone in the future...
It is really, really easy to remove the rear seat cushion.

You just push the bottom of the seat cushion in and lift up.

Keep rear seat back in upright position.
You need to unlatch the rear seat cushion at 2 points, which are at the center of each seating position. You just squish the seat cushion towards the back of the car, right at the bottom where it meets the carpet and lift up. That half of the seat will popup, then repeat for other side.

It takes maybe 5 seconds to do.

You won't beleive how easy it is 'till you try it.
This is how many, many cars mount there rear seat cushions.

You would use your windshield mount and suction it to the plastic horse shoe mount as a dash mount, and there is tons of other mounting options that you may wish to look at.

hi, in some states it is not allowd to put something on the windshield, so tomtom has a kit or bracket to mount it in the car. i think you can find such things on tomtom.com. good luck

I sent the Tomtom back for a refund.

It must be an aria twin 40/60 stroller and a peg capsule. The connection pieces are under the wider seat cushioning and they pull up and cushioning pushes back down with connection piece sticking up through gap either side of cushioning. The capsule will push easily on to pram seat and you will hear it lock when positioned correctly. You must use wider seat side.

Are you talking about the easyport mount on the XL 330S model? If so it applies fairly easily in a secure snap. When I tested out the new mount, it was fairly easy to snap on without any added pressure. TomTom has great customer service and I'm sure they'll help out to the best of their ability and if it was in fact defective, you're bound to get a replacement. TomTom doesn't want any unhappy consumers. It's a shame it broke, because it is actually a great device.

I didn't like the suction mount because it doesn't always hold very well and it was a little distracting. I found a vent mount at mountguys.com for less than $15 delivered that I am very happy with.
