there is a bolt that holds it on. just googled it

Remove the 2 screw which will be found under the foam filters!

Google the owners manual

if belt drive check for grass build up oil on belts worn belts or pulleys broken belt broken gear in wheel

check for an broken internal drive belt

There are no brushes available for this model, if the brushes are worn that bad the motor will be just about worn out as well, new motors are available.

Your carb needs to be taken apart and cleaned

Check for debris caught under the deck. The motor may be getting ready to quit. The machine may need a replacement belt. Be careful and unplug the machine before checking.
