Try searching that name in your download file. It should be there or it could be in your programs. Open control panel and search for that program, you will find it. Thank you Malinda and please leave feedback. Let us know?
Others who have had similar issues (based on Microsoft Technet and Microsoft Answers site) have reported that there was a folder in the Paperport initialization that caused the issue. More specifically, they found that it was a file in that directory, but the file type varied.
Check the error in the Event Viewer
(Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools\Event Viewer.lnk)
Go to the Windows Logs and check the Application and System logs to find the details of the error.
Problems such as this really make you mad, don't they. I would uninstall the driver and other software for the Xerox and reinstall it. Files get corrupt or updated and reloading fixes a multitude of problems.
This problem occurs due to corruption of data on your computer.
You must reinstall the operating system, you have to check the hard disk to eliminate physical damage on it.
Paperport 11 crashed as soon as I open it. "PaperPort has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I found that the problem was caused by a corrupt file in the default directory. I moved all the files from that directory to a new one and the problem was fixed. I transferred the files back 3 at at a time until I found the bad file. It was a PDF file not created by PaperPort. NO help from Nuance [email protected]
