Our Uniden DSS 2455/2465 which we bought from David Jones, Adelaide in January of 2006 has suddenly decided not to allow calls to be made. We can get calls in via our fax machine (strange, don't you think).
Both phones (handset 1 and handset 2 are displaying OUT OF RANGE. Batteries do not seem to be low as there is no flashing light. How can we get the phones operable again,

Go to Menu then select System Reset, then selct Replacing base, then
answer Yes. This will advise you to place in base to register and it
will do so in about 5 seconds.

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
There should be a option somewhere in the menu of the phone that will allow you to reset/delete all data on the phone. If there is not then sadly your going to have to go through and delete everything manually.

I was using this site while trouble shooting this in the US...
If the customer has DSL with filters in the same system go back to the NID and Isolate the DSL,
test the caller id and call waiting caller id. If this works you have Data Bleed coming from the DSL.
Make sure there are not two sets of filters on the line. Tjis customer had a filter with the DSL modem.
Doing this we just fixed an on going problem for a field tech who was the second callout on a customer issue.
The instructions on the handset are different - i.e. Direct ink mode,Handset Set Up and Answ. Setup.
