Can't find a code to program your universal remote to control your Polaroid HDTV? Can't find a listing for Polaroid in your remote control code list?

Many manufacturers recycle remote control codes, so often the best solution is to use the code search function of your universal remote.

Here are some remote control codes that have worked to control Polaroid HDTVs:

My 19" w/DVD uses the following Mitsubishi code: 10178
Dish Network remotes: 627, 659, or 688
DirecTV RC64 remote control revealed a code of 10835. This means that 10835, 0835, 835 or some variant many work with many programmable remote controls. On my DirecTV DVR system, this was indicated as a Moxell and/or Motorola TV code.
Use the mitsubshi tv codes they worked for me.
Try Element codes if they are listed in your remote code list.

Pioneer remote contyrol does't work with Pioneer 31FD blu ray

It will best to buy a remote control for TV, rather than try to repair this remote control. Sometimes, after repair, it won't work with Blu-ray; and it will be difficult to get a universal remote control for blue-ray. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service center, or authorized dealer to your device brand.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its user manual. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. If you see the site by "MOSAIC" view, will make surf easier.

Please test the TV using a programmable remote. If the TV works using the programmable remote buy a replacement remote control:

Volume control on reciver isn't working. Only using remote control for volume works. So I must need a volume control for the receiver. Is this an easy fix or not worth the time to fix

You haven't specified if all the other functions are working with the remote control or not. If no functions are working with remote control, either there is no infrared emission from your remote control handset. Check it with the help of a cellphone with camera option. Cellphone digital camera can detect the infrared rays comes out of the remote control. Just put the cellphone to camera mode, and place the remote control just about 1 feet away from its camera lens and push each button on the remote control and see whether there is any image of infrared rays indicates at your cellphone camera screen. If not, be sure that the remote control is not working, and should be replaced or repaired. Replace the cells first, and check. If this does not helps you and still the remote control is not working, replace it.
If the remote control works, and the all the other functions of your device can be set with it, the motor of the volume control or it control circuitary has damaged. To check this, you must have through knoledge in electronics and is a time taking service work. OK.
