Can't conect, telling me to reloade Netflix on my smart tv. I can't figerout how to reload it Samsung series 5. Mom is 81, doesn't remember the codes, I don't know if I need them?

Many old TV do not work on netflix , Hulu nor Vudu now.
the old app on the TV is just too old, same with my new panasonic blueray smart device for the same reason.
The App is no good.
So my solution was to buy a ROKU, v3.
and the ROKU will keep the APP working for ever,(wise choice)
now netflix.
go there using a computer, first.
log in to her account, if you can then netflix is ok.
if not you must call them and reset the account.
there are no codes,
its users email address + password.
the only rule on my account is 2 smart devices at one time. not more. (if need more pay more)

inside the account you can also delete all devices, this rests devices and will pretend the TV is brand new, unless the APP it runs is no good.
They changed formats on apps.(and is more powerful and worth the change,)

that is it , hope i covered all bases for failure..
cheers

Roku, How To Setup a Roku Player

You want to try the Roku player so you can stream NetFlix to your TV over your home internet connection. It can be a bit of a hair pulling experience to set one up. So I'll try and make it as easy as it can be. First; Once you receive your player, and connect it to your TV. You need to get your new player on to your home network, be sure you have a router with wireless capability's. You will need to know the name of your home network, and you will need to know your WEB key or the pass key to secure your access into your home network. To do this, go to "Settings" (on the Roku menu) then scroll thru the menu until you see "Network", press network, look for your home network and press on it, then put in the WEB key to access your home network router. Remember after each step unplug the Roku for 10 to 20 seconds to set the memory.(may take more than 1 time with some players) NEXT; Go to www.Roku.com internet site and set up your account with them, they will need info on how to bill you if, you use a pay chanel. So they will need some bank account info, Or you can use PayPal. Next On the Roku "My Account" page, down at the right bottom of the page you will see the "Link Player" button, follow this to input your Link code, or go to http://owner.roku.com/link to input the code. Then go to the Roku menu screen and finish the setup with your Link Code. This will now activate your new Roku player. Next you will want to go to NetFlix and set up an account with them. Same thing here, they need bank account info to bill you, if you stay past the free demo time limit. Now go back to your TV, Roku menu and scroll thru the menu to press on NetFlix, here you will go thru the Menu to get another link code. This time it will come on the TV, Roku menu to go back and put that code in your NetFlix account to activate your Roku player with NetFlix. Now in the process of all this, you may have to unplug your Roku player after each link code to set it into memory. This causes a lot of folks to have some trouble as they do not, "Turn Off" the Roku after they put in the network key, the Roku link code, then again after they put in the NetFlix link code. One last bit of help. Do not create a large Instant Queue on your NetFlix account over 50. This causes problems with the memory usage in the Roku player, and It can keep NetFlix from loading. Hope this helps FixYa up.

What equipment do I need to use netflix

There are multiple ways to watch Netflix:
- Watch on your laptop or tablet.
- Connect a laptop to your TV. Cost you only a cable.
- SmartTV with Netflix app. Most brands have that nowadays.
- Chromecast: if you have an Android phone/tablet you can send the screen to your TV.
For iPhone / iPad you will need AppleTV, but that costs a lot more.
- TV with an Andriod mediabox with the Netflix app installed. ROKU for instance.
- Via a Game console: Playstations / XBOX / Wii can install the Netflix app.

Further needed:
- internet connection.
- Netflix account. It is possible to use 1 account on 4 devices. My son has several friends who together pay the Netflix subscription fee.
The most expensive plan allows for up to 4 screens watching different programs.
Here is some info to set it all up:

Good luck trying!!
