I think this means your pump is not working, and therefore the tank is full. The pump could just be switched off, could have failed, or could be clogged. See the other messages regarding this model, for an excellent description of how to clean out a clogged pump.
Not up on the unit, but water condenses on the evaporator of an a/c unit dropping onto a tray, as self evaporating, would assume that the drain from that tray is fed to the top of the compresor, which will have a tray around the top, heat from the compressor will evaporate the water, same as with a fridge. In dehumidifier mode, water would need to be collected, rather than evaporated back into the atmosphere, defeats the object other wise. so is lower tank around compressor? that would be for a/c mode upper tank for dehumidifier
With heat pumps that's the way they work. In heat mode they are using the evaporator as the condenser and it blows heat out the front and cold out the back. In cooling mode, a reversing valve switches the gas flow reversing the operation of the coils and it blows cold out the front and heat out the back.
E1 error code : Deshumidifier
indicates generally an issue with rh sensor on the
back of the control. However, at this time we would like to gather
further information relating to the application if possible.
It could be several things, Not like changing a light bulb. If the fan's shot the unit will try to cycle, will stop, will click, will sit a little and everything starts over again...That's just one item...the easy one.. Because of it's age and other problems, I strongly suggest Goodwill, St. Vincent's. Home Depot right now, has a 5kw (small room 10x15 max.) for a hundred bucks. The old unit is bagged...time to go!
R410A is refrigerant gas. I think you wanted to know, what humidity extraction level the controls should be set on. If it is really hot and humid in your area, set the humidity extraction level between 35 & 40%. If you have a mechanical control, turn the knob to Maximum.
Hope this helped you, Bradleyjo. Thanks for choosing FixYa.
