Easycap no sound - EasyCam GE Computers & Internet

easycap was not meant to used on windows 7 (i think). but i have uploaded all my easycap drivers for you,.... as always right click exe's and in compatibility mode for windows xp service pack 2. if it still not working after driver install go device manager try update drivers from there.
easycap reccomend - ulead video studio for video editing.

hi,the easycap is a plug and play device ( it dose not need drivers ) but there are many copy's of this device out there ( very cheap ) and they are very difficult to get the sound working ( is this your problem ? ) there are many video capture software out there and most video players will capture your video. depending on what software you get will depend on how difficult it will be to capture sound. so to sum up all you need is a video capture video player ? ( windows media player/webcam max/VLC player etc )

In my experience with the Easycap software the quality of sound & vision is very poor. My recommendation is as follows:
1) Use windows movie maker instead to capture video.Use the 2M byte/sec capture rate. Make sure the box for "make video clips" is NOT selected - you probably don't want your vid chopped into little bits.
2) In my experience USB audio is rubbish on these devices, so instead connect your PC or laptop audio LINE IN to your sound source. Don't forget to set sound source in RECORDING section of Control Panel Sound devices to Line In instead of your Easycap (which the Easycap drivers would have preset it to by default).

You have told us the operating system, but not what type of computer you have. For example if the video from the device is good you could, if the computer has an audio in socket, use that to connect the device. Many VCR's etc have audio out so just use that as a direct connection, then it doesn't matter if the capture device sound settings don't match your computer's. The main thing is the video feed is good.

try this but uninstall your current driver for the easycap, then reboot.Do not leave the easycap pluged in and you'll have no problems good luck please rate....

I have windows vista and my drivers load fine. Plug in the unit and the drivers load. I have the 4 camera easycap and the VCR easycap. Install drivers first before plugging in the unit. Restart computer, plug in unit, check device manager if there is a stk1150 loaded under image. My problem is getting small files from the recordings. I converted 2 mins of my daughters dance solo and it turned out 1.7gb AVI file without sound. Changing the options to mpeg or WV files will crash the program becuase something doesn't match. I need to play with it more to understand it better.
