After finalizing my mini-disk, I put it into my computer to try and make DVD copies but the file is not recognized. The file format is .vro which I think is the problem. The manual refers to dvd-rw done in vr mode as potentially not playable in DVD players without vr mode and suggests that one record in video mode instead. But nowhere can I find a setting on the camera to record in video mode. Anybody?

How can i make dvd from vhs

You need an USB VHS to DVD adapter and plug the video recorder into this adapter and then plug the adapter into the USB port of your computer, install the software on your computer.
Then you can save the VHS video file onto your computer and then burn a DVD disc.
Check out this WEB site for these adapters.

How do I get videos from my HTC wildflower onto the computer?

You can download videos to your computer through USB connection. Please try the following:
  1. Use the USB cable to connect your Phone to the PC. Select "Disk drive" on the pop-up menu seen on the phone.
  2. At your PC, search for *.3gp (default format for videos recorded) or mp4 for other videos, at the newly added USB storage device (this is your phone). The videos taken are usually found at F:\dcim\100MEDIA (the drive letter may vary), same as were photos taken are stored.

My daughter locked my sony xperia x10a by entering in too many patterns but i've tried everything from null password to trying to reset it and nothing is working i even tried taking the sim card out and...

If you tried using the "null" password and that didn't work, then I am afraid you will have to reset the phone via "seus" Sony Ericsson Update Service.

This WILL remove ALL your personal settings INCLUDING text messages and contacts if the contacts are saved onto your phone not Sim Card.

Download SEus >>HERE<<
Install it onto your computer (It's Free and Virus Free)
When it is installed "Run" it. (Should be a shorcut on your desktop)
A box will pop up and will update itself.
Then it will go into a handset choice screen. (Choose X10 obviously)
Click next
Then it will give you instructions on switching off your handset, Plugging USB cable into computer etc etc.

I usually plug lead into computer
Have the cable nearly inserted into handset THEN press bottom right button then plug cable into handset.

You need to choose the "REPAIR" option as you are unable to access your handset as it is.

Just follow onscreen prompts.
Try the "keep user data" option. (Does Not Wipe Data and may save your Contacts,SMS etc)
If this fails you will have to do the "Factory Reset" Option.

If you get a yellow exclamation matk when you try to reboot your phone...
Don't panic, just do the process again.

When you set your phone back up...Remember to write down your google account details AND use the back up/Restore app in your main menu. At least then, if it happens again you just have to restore your phone and all your data will be Restored. I recommend you back up your phone every time you add a new number or save another SMS or MMS. Your pictures should be fine as they are saved on your memory card.

I hope this helps?

I need help with trying to download from a microsoft document to a 256 MB zip drive. Have no instuction, have never used it.

Plug the drive into your USB port and you should have a window pop up asking you what to do (open to view files/ do nothing / etc).
This will "mount" the device and also assign it a drive letter( probably D in this case).
You can either open the folder to view files and then drag your document onto it, or you can open the file and then do File> Save As and then in the save box click the dropdown on location and choose the usb drive from the list. Name appropriately and hit save.
If this was a help please give me 4 thumbs up as I am trying to build up my rep on this site!

Cant restore acer netbook back to facotry settings did not do backup when purchased

Recovery procedure for Acer netbooks.

Important Information

The Recovery disc will help you to restore the hard drive with the original software content that was installed when you purchased your notebook. Follow the steps below to rebuild your hard drive. Your drive will be reformatted and all data will be erased. It is important to back up all data files before you use this option.

Restoration procedure:

1. Press the power button to turn the system on.

2. Select to boot from a USB optical drive. There are two ways to do this:

2.1. Press <F2> during the Power-On Self-Test (when the Acer logo is displayed onscreen after bootup) to enter BIOS Setup.

2.1.1. Select the Boot menu.

2.1.2. Refer to onscreen instructions to set the first device to any bootable optical disc drive.

2.2. Press <F12> during the Power-On Self-Test (when the Acer logo is displayed onscreen after bootup), and select the USB ODD from the list that appears.

3. Ensure the Recovery disc is in an external (USB) optical disc drive, and exit the boot selection menu, by selecting Exit Saving Changes from the Exit menu or pressing <F10>, or by pressing <Enter> as appropriate.

4. Select Exit Saving Changes from the Exit menu or press <F10>.

5. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation process.

6. When you finish the recovery process, please remove the Recovery disc and insert the System disc again.

7. Restart your computer.

Create a Recovery USB device

You will need a second computer with an ODD to complete this procedure.

1) Insert the Recovery CD into the optical drive. Plug in a USB/flash drive with a minimum capacity of 1 GB.

2) Enter the BIOS setup and set the first boot device to the ODD. Save the changes and exit.

3) Allow your computer to boot up.

4) From the list of options, select "install2usb".

5) You will see a list of available disks, select the USB drive you plugged in.

6) Click the next button to complete the procedure.

7) Remove the USB ODD and USB/flash drive. You now have the Recovery system stored in your USB/flash drive, for future use if necessary.

Plug in my hard drive and nothing happens

Make sure that your usb hard drive is inserted properly into the computer but if nothing happens, go to your bios settings of your computer and be sure that usb function is set to on. Save changes and restart the computer. If you dont know how to do this, first turn on the computer and press the delete key in the keyboard, once you enter the bios screen look for the usb settings and make sure it is set to on. Hope this could help. Thanks

How do I record from my TV to your PC / laptop through S-Video?

To record video on a computer, you need an mpeg encoder. You can buy one that plugs in to USB, for about $30. Takes up hard drive space to save lots of vidoe however, so you will probably want to burn them off to CD if you want to save them.
