I have an apple imac g5. It won't turn on.

It's probably burned-out electrolytic capacitors in the power supply section or on the logic board (to other technicians on this board, yes they do burn out - cut one apart and you'll see the paper around the plus lead is turned to charcoal). Those are relatively low-cost components ($0.40 - $1.60, depending on the size), but require technical expertise to replace (ability to change parts on multi-layer boards with lead-free solder, and observe electrostatic discharge precautions to prevent damaging the board). Burned-out electrolytic capacitors are often readily identified by visual inspection - the tops will be bulged out and often have material leaking from the vent. In the photo below, a bad capacitor is shown next to several good ones.

If this is the case, insist that your repair technician select new capacitors for high ripple current and endurance (at least 8000 hr. rating) as well as the same or better temperature rating. I've found the Panasonic FR1 series capacitors work well for this application. United Chemi-con's EKZN series should also be adequate. They may cost a few nickels more than other brands, but the money is well worth spending.

Canon MP610 Error 6800

According to the service manual an error has occured writing to the eeprom on the logic circuit board. I would look at the logic board as a culprit . You may need to check the voltage is correct at the power point and matches the printer required supply voltage. What worries me is what caused the logic board to fail and make a burning smell. Could be a faulty voltage regulator supplying the logic board or a fault in a power board..

CM 7000 will not boot up

On all units that I repair, I replace all nine of the power supply board capacitors regardless of the voltages. There are poor quality capacitors and are going to fail at some time in the future.
The logic board caps are the same through hole type as the power supply. Yes there are many surface mount capacitors but none of these have need to be replaced. Replacing the logic board caps are very difficult because of the inner plane layer that acts like a giant heat sink. I use a desoldering station that has a suction pump and set the temperature to 850 degrees F. First I unsolder the square pad lead as this one is easy. The other lead requires more time, I hold the iron on until I can move the capacitor lead and turn on the suction as I pull the part out of the hole. Even with this process the holes do not always come clean and require additional work. Without the desoldering station it is very difficult and I would not recommend attempting it.

EMac leaky-Capacitors

Sorry, but once a capacitor fails it can lead to other failures on the logic board. Your best bet is to replace the logic board. Due to the price of the logic board and age of the computer, I wouldn't replace the logic board.
It's time to go shopping for a new Mac.

Led lite on power module turns on but when you plug the module into printer it goes off and printer won't tunr on hp c6180

Check the logic board for failed capacitors. My C6180 started showing ink system failure messages and eventually would power on and off every 20 seconds or so. This was caused by a few failed capacitors on the logic board. i the attached picture of my C6180 logic board you can see the bulging tops of 2 capacitors (indicating failure). I replaced 4 capacitors (cost ~ 60cents) and the pinter is working great. If you are not comfortable doing a little soldering, you will have to find some help (took my 25 minutes).
