My refrigerator it's not cooling but
the freezer works
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent
between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through
it. There is a flap you adjust with the
fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the
fridge temp ..
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer
are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of
cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

Not knowing the age of the box. There are several areas of concern. The older refrigerators have manual damper controls. The manually rotated controls in the back of the fresh food area. The newer boxes have computer controlled dampers. The air flow damper device in the older or newer may be defective. It is normally mechanical and not electronic. Which means the damper has broken. It is an easy repair , but, the cost may be prohibited.
