The wire or circuit's that fuse protects are battery positive voltage ,if the wire has been rubbed through an touching any metal on the vehicle this would blow the fuse. Plus looking at GEM scan data on a factory scan tool .Too many people miss diagnose these system's because they don't have a clue .

For the 97 and newer model year trucks, this is a case of needing to spray the door latch with WD-40, the contacts stopped working ( dirty / gummed up contacts ).

Not 100% sure this is the same on the 95 MY truck, but on the 97 and newer it took a few rounds of a good spray, close and open the door, good spray, repeat to get the contacts working again.

Worth a try, if the light does not shut off due to the door, I would say it is a problem with the door switch to the LCM ( Lighting Control Module - moved in the 97 + MY to the GEM ).

Mix driving should be under 90,000 miles.
If your the timing guide (on the side of the timing belt cover) making noise then you should change it ASAP.
A loose timing belt will offset timing on the injector and decrease mileage.
