SOURCE: my hitachi big screen will not turn on

Check the fuse behind the T.V in the back. you will have to take the cover off. Pull the fuse and take it to radio shack to get an replacement.

How can I get the TV to set to hdmi?

If you have a Hitachi remote HL02121, that means your TV model number is either 32PD7800 or 42PD7800.
According to the Owner's Manual the HDMI connector is activated by going to AV6.
While in the TV mode on the remote, press the '' button with the AV6 above it. That will tell the TV to use the HDMI input.
IF you don't have access to the TV remote, there are INPUT SELECTION buttons on the TV near the Lower Left hand Corner of the cabinet. Press the INPUT SELECTION button until AV6 is displayed on the screen (HDMI Input)

Just try to reset HDTV. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

Trying to swith to cable mode

lift lid on front of tv just above the red power light. press the far right button labelled select. press exit to remove menu. use up and down arrows to navigate. you can download user manual from hitachi.com website.

Yaesu ft411e lcd not on, when power on ,just flash red led once I have yaesu ft411e.few year back ,i found some digits on lcd not showing properly, rather not key pressing.i opened it ,did try to clean rubber ,etc.mean while i found ,FFC cable was broken after 3,4 year,i again took in hand.now i resiluder the cable , check all point continuity.i was in fear, if some point amongs 24 might have short circuited, so ,though my battery was drained and no 12 volt power supply ready ,so , I wanted to test with 9 volt battery .but the result is , small indicator LED flash for a second .i do nothing, but one time i notice ,sound was coming as no signal and squelch fully opened.but no display.actualy radio was ok when I first opened ,not it behave like this.as i mentioned ,once sound came like no signal.pls help me anyone.i am not a expert reparing the things After posting, question,one update that ,sound of open squelch is hear continuously, key pad working as it sounds beep.bkindly i entered one local frequency.any then transmit same frequency from another set it sence ,means if lcd can be corrected ,i can do more.onr more thing, this time i connected the rig with 12 v power supply,means low voltage also make problem.so, by this my question is now for lcd not illuminated.
