SOURCE: We have an old IBM Wheelwriter 6 Series II

First thing be sure the batteries are good. When it powers up it should beep once and the 1 light will come on. If that dosen't happen change the batt. and be sure the contacts aren't corroded.

There are 3 keys on the left side that say store, play and delete, hold the store while typing an address 01 - 99, release store, type info press store again. To print hold play and typa address. Delete works the same way.

Lost our manual for our IBM Wheelwriter 6 Series II. We don't remember how to store information. Can you help us?

Press and hold down "Store" while you type the number you would like to store the information in ( 1 through 99).
The "Store" light will blink and then the printwheel will spin.
When the "Store" light comes on solid you may start typing.

To end the store operation simply press and release the Store key. The Store light will turn off and the printwheel will spin again.

To print the saved job press "Play" and the number you used.

(Note: there are batteries inside the ribbon area of the typewriter that should be replaced every year (AA batteries) If they are missing or dead, the stored jobs will dissappear when the typewriter is turned off.
