On another computer download ISO image and use infrarecorder to burn a cd that will become a boot disk.
The tricky part if it has IEFU new bios it will not boot unless you turn off safe booting in the bios and change the boot order to boot from a CD if it has a CD or USB otherwise you will have to google how to make a USB Boot from a
USB stick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApRK8av2IOI
The new laptops do not spell out how to chage the bios but you have to press and hold down f2 key at power on

SOURCE: My laptop will not boot. Says error occurred

this is a problem with the boot sector data ...the quick fix will be like this :
insert the operating system disk ...and restart ...choose to boot from the disk ..if it is not set to boot from the disk as priority ...it will not ask ya to press any key to boot from the disk ...in this case you have to go to bios by pressing del or F2 on start ...and there select the cd/dvd device as primary booting device ...press f10 to save changes and reboot...
it will start configuring your operating system again ....but after loading files ...when it gets to the first repair...just choose it ...(R) and it will get to a repairing sectore where it will ask for a command..
the proper command to solve your problem si : fixboot ...this wwill make it rewrite the boot sector and solve the problem ...
if you do not manage ...just let it reinstall the operating system ..but save the files before in another partition ...

SOURCE: computer wont reboot

The issue is due to presents of earlier operating system files which are avoiding you to reinstall the os.
At this point I recommend you to clean the hard disk and then try for fresh installation. However, I am providing you the steps below:
Perform the steps provided in the below web site and then perform the Reinstall process

http://killdisk.com/downloadfree.htm

NOTE: The URL above will take you to a non HP Web site. HP does
not control and is not responsible for information outside
of the HP Web site.

After performing the complete format of Hard Drive, Reinstall the Windows XP.

To reinstall the operating system, follow the steps below:

1. Ensure that the CD-ROM is connected to the notebook.
2. Turn on the notebook.
3. Immediately insert the operating system CD into the CD drive.
4. Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds to turn off the notebook.
5. Press the Power button again to start the notebook.
6. Press Esc key to boot from the CD when HP logo appears. Choose the first boot device as CD ROM and then click enter. The Welcome to Setup screen is displayed.
7. Press ENTER to continue. A Licensing Agreement screen is displayed.
8. Press F8 to accept the agreement and continue. The Setup window is displayed.
9. Press ESC to continue installing a fresh copy of the operating system without repairing.
10. Press ENTER to setup the operating system.
11. Press C to continue using this partition.
12. Select "Format the partition using the NTFS file system (Quick)", and then press ENTER. A caution message stating that formatting this drive will delete all current files, is displayed.
13. Press F to format the drive. The reinstallation process begins and may take several minutes to complete. Your Notebook will restart into Windows after the process is complete.

NOTE: When prompted for the product key, refer to the Microsoft Certificate of Authenticity located on the bottom of your
notebook.

I hope this information helps you. Please reply if I can help you further.

Blue screen on envy 13 admin password prompt with system disabled - CAN YOU FIX HP ERROR CODE 64449838

I can only help with the system admin password (presumed windows). You will have to manufacture a "Password Reset Disk" on another PC or laptop (preferably running same OS - you will need your product key COA number). Instructions on MS website. Also - check your BIOS settings are OK when setting to boot on the password reset disk. That will be F1 or DEL probably on power up.Good Luck.
