Knob is probably fine, just pull out shaft from knob use old knob on new switch as long as plastic knob is not broken

SOURCE: Where is the fuse panel

I can help , The fuse panel/control board is located behind the digital display in the front of the unit. Some drop in ranges are tricky getting into so be carefull when removing the face , there are screws under the display when opening the oven door look up and there may be a few more on the top side corners reveled when you pull the unit out 12" or so. there is a small glass fuse in the board some of these are not removable so if there is no digital display on your oven and your sure you have 240V to control board you will need to replace the entire control board. Hope this gets you there. Good luck let me know if you have anymore problems.

SOURCE: How do I replace a broken stem on the griddle knob

You would remove all of the knobs and then you remove the screws holding the face panel on there. Then you can access burner valves. The new part may not come with a preset orifice because the factory does not know which type of gas you have. So what they do is tighten the orifice all the way down. Lets see if I have a viking service manual:

How can I remove the timer knob from a Frigidaire Washer

Knob PN 131592001 Just looking at replacements it appears to just push on. If pulling on it does not get it off then rotate it CCW in an attempt to unscrew it. Just be VERY careful that the timer stem does not rotate if you turn the knob CCW or you will be buying a new timer. Open the top and hold the stem if you have too. (easier said than done) Worst case... if you have a bad knob and have a replacement knob in hand... break the defective knob. If your changing the timer look at the stem on the new timer. If it is threaded on the end the knob unscrews. If it is not threaded it pulls off.

On my Caloric gas stove Model RSK 3700 UWW, a control knob has broken off leaving about half of its stem (or tongue) tightly lodged in the stove's female control- knob socket. How can I extract this broken...

Unfortunately you can't remove or replace these buttons, no parts seem to be available anymore. Keep a match stick handy to stick in the hole and press the leftover bit.

Oster 6232 toaster oven.

trying to find a solution for a broken knob, i discovered that there aren't many decent options. so i took it upon myself to find one. my father actually recommended that i post the solution, seeing that there were so many with broken knobs. now this works on the timer knob on an oster 6232 toaster oven. it may work on the other knobs and possibly other models, but i cannot confirm that. the plastic stem of the knob that slips over the medal stem of the timer had broken. i crazy glued it back together and knew that there was no way in hell it would hold up with just glue. sorry for the lack of pics on this part. with the broken piece glued back in place, i went to home depot to find something/ anything that would securely slip over the stem of the knob. i tried all sorts of tubing. copper, pvc, steel and found nothing. in the plumbing isle with all the brass fittings and compression fittings, i found an "ander-lign compression nut" 5/8" OD w/ insert. part # A-304 961-P. 634052c.jpg
all you need is the brass flanged insert. if you can find it without the nut and compression ring, then more power to you. after buying this, slip the piece over the knob stem flanged end first. i used 5 minute opoxy to ensure it would stay in place. 7c9f2a3.jpg
i then used a cone shaped diamond bit in my dremel tool to notch out the two sides of the knob. 6be2e7e.jpg
just cut the brass down enough to match the notches in the stem of the knob. 0cdfdf7.jpg
and there you have it. sorry for the 2 blurry pics. hope this can help some of you.

Can't Remove Broken Electric Stove Burner Knob

Spray each of the screws with a little WD40, available at any autoparts store. This will dissolve any rust that may have formed. Leave it over night. Then loosen the screws and the knob will come off.

Oven wont come obut igniter works

Yes, it could be the knob or the oven control.

If the knob fits tightly to the control, and turns the stem of the control, then I would be suspect of the control. But if the knob fits loosely, I would be suspect of the knob.

I bought a frigidaire dryer knob to replace the broken one. But how do I get the knob on without hammering it and cracking the knob and stem? the stem on my frigidaire dryer is broken - i have the knob...

You will want to take out the screws on the back of the dryer behind the control panel. Once off you will see all the wires and such connecting to the timer and the knobs. Make sure you disconnect the power first before digging in in there. When you find the spot that your knob goes take that control part off and place your knob in. Once you have the back off you will see how it goes on. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me and please let me know if this was helpful to you. Good luck and glad I could help.
